Two Boys Charged After Gunshots Fired

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Shots fired, boys charged

Two boys were arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and discharging firearms after they fired a gun near the intersection of Madison Avenue and W. 117th Street at around 9 p.m. May 22. Both took off on foot, but police caught up with both of them a few blocks away. The gun was also recovered.

 A man was arrested following a report that he threatened a woman and pointed a gun at her son’s head in the 1500 block of Lakewood Avenue at around 11 p.m. May 21. The man was held on a warrant out of the .

A man was charged was theft and disorderly conduct after stealing from the on Detroit Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. May 22.

Gunshot shells found

Five gunshot shells were found outside the branch on Clifton Boulevard at around 8:30 a.m. May 23.

Theft, disorderly conduct

A woman told police that her friend stole $40 and bifocal prescription glasses from her home in the 11700 block of Clifton Boulevard at around 10 p.m. May 23. Police caught up with the man and charged him with theft and disorderly conduct.
