Tire theft: Two men
were caught stealing tires from the National Tire and Battery store at around 8 p.m. Aug. 1. They were each charged with felony theft.
Disorderly conduct: Police received a report of two men, wandering up and down driveways on Alameda Avenue near Franklin Boulevard at around 12:30 a.m. July 31. When officers arrived moments later, they charged one of them with disorderly conduct.
Cash stolen: $80 was reported stolen from a locker at the YMCA at around 11:30 a.m. July 31.
Creepy proposition: A man approached a woman near the Merl Bunts Park and asked if he could babysit her children at around 6 p.m. July 31. She said “no” and called police.
Drug overdose: Police and EMS responded to a report of a woman who was “turning blue” from an overdose in the 1300 block of Clarence Avenue at around 9 p.m. July 31. She survived but was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and the man with her was charged with drug trafficking, drug abuse and tampering with evidence.
Robbery: A woman told police that a man stole her cell phone while she was walking in the 15500 block of Madison Avenue at around 10 a.m. Aug. 1.
Fight, drug charge: Police responded to any alley near the 18600 block of Detroit Avenue to a report of two men fighting at around 11:50 p.m. Aug. 1. One of the men was charged with disorderly conduct and drug abuse.
Gunshots or fireworks? A report of gunshots in the area of 1400 block of Cordova Avenue turned out to be fireworks in the early morning of Aug. 2.
Drug charges: A man was charged with felony drug possession and open container following a traffic stop in the 11700 block of Detroit Avenue at around 12:50 a.m. Aug. 2.
Bike stolen: A bicycle was reported stolen from a home in the 16800 block of Madison Avenue on Aug. 2.
Car stolen: A vehicle was reported stolen from the street in the 2100 block of Chesterland Avenue at around 10:30 a.m. Aug. 2.
