Rash of Car Break-Ins Reported on City's North Side
About a dozen car break-ins were reported in the section of Lakewood on Nov. 29.
About a dozen car break-ins were reported in the northern half of Lakewood on Nov. 29.
The first report was taken at 1000 block of Homewood Drive, where there was a vehicle broken into, but nothing was reported stolen. A couple hours later, received another call from the house next door — several items were stolen from the car.
The second call came from 13900 block of Edgewater Drive — at around 8:45 a.m. — and again nothing was taken. In the 14600 block of Lake Avenue, the resident told police that some change was stolen.

A resident in the 1000 block of Abbieshire Avenue told police at around 10:30 a.m. that a backpack was stolen from the vehicle. An hour later, another resident a couple doors down told police that several items were missing from the parked vehicle in the driveway.
- Another report was taken about a backpack stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Giel Avenue at around 12:50 p.m.
- A resident in the 1200 block of Nicholson Avenue reported that someone went through her car the night before, but nothing was taken.
- Three cars in the 1000 block of Lakeland were broken into.
