Rash of Car Break-Ins Reported

Police receive more than a half-dozen complaints on Tuesday.

Officers from the were busy on Tuesday, responding to more than a half-dozen complaints that residents' vehicles had been broken into overnight.

A few of them reported that items were stolen.

The vehicles were parked in the 15000 block of Lakewood Heights Boulevard; in the 1400, 1500 and 1530 blocks of Wyandotte Avenue; and in the 2000 and 2100 blocks of Elbur Avenue.

Some of the items reported stolen include an iPod, a couple of GPS units an MP3 player.

Also, another resident in the 2000 block of Elbur Avenue told police that someone tried to cut the screen of the home’s door sometime during the night.

Police are investigating.
