Potato Salad Smeared on the Front Door

Complaint: A woman in the 13400 block of Clifton Boulevard told police that her neighbor smeared potato salad on her door at around 10 p.m. Aug. 17. Turns out, the man had a warrant out for his arrest.

Hammering in the evening: Police received a report of someone hammering in the 1400 block of Ridgewood Avenue at around 12:45 a.m. Aug. 16.

Theft: A woman in the 2000 block of Bunts Road told police that someone fraudulently used her credit card on the Internet on Aug. 16.

Man bleeding in the street: Police and EMS responded to a bleeding man lying in the middle of the street in the 15500 block of Madison Avenue at around 3 a.m. Aug. 16. He was taken to the emergency room at Lakewood Hospital with unreported injuries. It’s not clear how he was injured.

Stolen battery: A man who ran out of gas on Interstate 90 had more bad luck at around 4 p.m. Aug. 16. While he walked to get gasoline, someone stopped at his car and stole the truck’s battery.

Theft: A man was charged with theft after stealing a bike in the 12400 block of Detroit Avenue at around 3:15 p.m. Aug. 17.

Fight: Police responded to a report of a fight at Lakewood Park (14532 Lake Avenue) at around 4:30 p.m. Aug. 18, however when officers arrived the brawlers had already left.

Drunken driving: A man was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Ridgewood Avenue at around 1 a.m. Aug. 19.
