Police: There May Be More Molestation Victims

Det. Kevin Krolkosky, of the Bay Village Police Department, is hoping to close the case on a Lakewood man recently sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexually assaulting a teenage boy.

But there may be more victims.

Mark Lewis, 58, of Newman Avenue, was found guilty in November on five counts of gross sexual imposition and five counts of kidnapping.

Krolkosky told Lakewood Patch that the case on Lewis isn’t quite closed.

“The information we gathered during the investigation suggested that there might be other victims going back to the 1970s,” he said, adding that additional charges weren’t filed.

The Plain Dealer reported that “many” photographs of teenage boys were found at Lewis' home, appearing to be boys Lewis met through church and befriended.

He was sentenced for the assault last month, but detectives believe there may be more victims.

Lewis sexually assaulted a boy — now 19 — in his vehicle as well as the boy’s bedroom from 2007 to 2010. Lewis knew the family from church, and was considered a “member of their family.”

 “If there are other individuals out there who have had similar situations with Mr. Lewis, they should contact us," Krolkosky said.
