Police Called on Man in Obama Mask at Polling Place

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Disturbance at polling station

A man wearing Obama masks attracted some attention at the polling place at Lake Shore Towers on Election Day, after he was “approaching voters.” He was outside the required distance of the polling place, but did get involved in a “verbal altercation” with two voters.

Drunken driver takes out telephone pole

A man was arrested and charged with drunken driving after he crash his vehicle into a telephone pole and then drove away. Police caught up with him in the 13200 block of Detroit Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. Nov. 5.

Drug charge

A man was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle in the 14800 block of Armin Avenue at around 8 p.m. Nov. 5.

Grand theft

A man in the 1400 block of Graber Drive reported that his vehicle had been stolen at around 10 a.m. Nov. 4. 

Complaint leads to drug trafficking charge

A man was charged with drug trafficking and disorderly conduct following a report of an argument in the 16500 block of Detroit Avenue at around 1 a.m. Nov. 4. The man also had a warrant out for his arrest.
