Police Blotter: Robbery at Gunpoint; Armed Burglar; and a Fight in the Street

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Robbery at gunpoint

A man was robbed at gunpoint at the intersection of W. 117th and Clifton Boulevard at around 11 p.m. Oct. 5. The suspects made off with the victim’s keys and wallet. The Cleveland police handled the incident.

A woman in the 2100 block of Lark Avenue told police that there was an armed man in her house at around 11:55 p.m. Oct. 5. The woman huddled on the floor of her bedroom while she called . By the time officers arrived just moments later, the man — who had a handgun, and perhaps an accomplice — had already fled.

Drug paraphernalia

A man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop near the intersection of W. 117th Street and Berea Road at around 3:30 a.m. Oct. 4.

Phone scam

A man in the 11900 block of Edgewater Drive told police he believed he was the victim of a phone scam at 8 a.m. Oct. 4. The man said the caller told him he won a large sum of money. Police told the man not to accept the calls anymore.

Catalytic converter stolen

A resident of the West Shore Apartments on Edgewater Drive told police Oct. 5 that the catalytic converter on his vehicle had been stolen the night before.

Fight in the street

A man was arrested and charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business after a fight was reported in the 1200 block of Clifton Prado at around 6 p.m. Oct. 5.
