Police Blotter: Missing Child Found, Drug Charges and a Meat Bandit

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Is that hamburger in your pants?

A man was arrested and charged with theft around 3 p.m. May 30 after he stuffed an undisclosed amount of meat in his pants and left without paying. He was stopped at the intersection of Waterbury and Frank avenues a short time later and charged with theft. The police report did not specify what kind of meat the man is accused of stealing.

You shouldn't throw stones...

An intoxicated man was stopped by police for throwing rocks at buildings near the intersection of Madison and Clarence avenues as he walked by them at around 11 a.m. May 30. No damaged was caused and police advised the man to stop throwing rocks.

Deer down

Police responded to a report of an injured deer in the 13000 block of Clifton Blvd. at around 2 p.m. May 30. Officers found the injured deer in a backyard and called the division of animal control for assistance.

Drugs and weapons charges

A man was charged with improper handling of a firearm, trafficking marijuana and felony possession of PCP, following a traffic stop at Daleview and Riverside drives at around 2 a.m. May 31.

Missing child found 

alerted a parent in the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue to inform her that her 7-year-old son wasn’t in school on June 1. She told the school’s administrators that the boy had left for school that morning. Later that morning, he was found hiding in the trunk of the family car.

Trespassing 

A woman told police that she returned to her Orchard Grove Avenue from delivering newspapers at around 5 a.m. June 2 to find an intoxicated man in her basement. The man was charged with trespassing.
