Police Blotter: Marijuana Grown in Home, Counterfeit Money and Grand Theft

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Growing marijuana in the home

Police received a tip that a resident in the 2000 block of Baxterly Avenue was growing marijuana in the home. Officers checked the apartment at 9 p.m. June 22 and found an undisclosed number of marijuana plants growing toward the back of the home. The resident was charged with marijuana cultivation and drug paraphernalia.

Burglary

Residents in the 1300 block of Sloan Avenue told police that while they were out of town June 19, a neighbor saw a man enter their home. When the residents returned home, they noticed some items missing.

Drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct

Police received a call at 9:30 a.m. June 19 that a man was trying to get into a vehicle that appeared not to belong to him. When officers arrived the man was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with disorderly conduct.

Three-car crash 

A three-car crash was reported in the 1600 block of Mars Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. June 20. No injuries were reported.

Grand theft

A car was reported stolen from the driveway at a home in the 17200 block of Clifton Blvd. in the morning of June 21.

Vandalism

Graffiti was reported on the side of the  on Warren Avenue building at around 10 a.m. June 21.

Tree falls on car

A tree fell on a parked car in the driveway of a Lewis Road home at around 8 a.m. June 22.

Fake money for a computer

A resident in the 14000 block of Madison Avenue told police that he sold a man an iPad for $400. However, the four $100 bills turned out to be counterfeit.
