Police Blotter: Man Stuffs Pork in His Pants, Charged with Theft

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Pork stuffed in man’s pants

A man who stuffed pork in his pants and left the e without paying was charged with petty theft at around 1 p.m. July 28. Officers caught up with the man around the corner on Manor Park Avenue where he was arrested.

A man told police that his brother broke his jaw while they were fighting in the 1400 block of Cohasset Avenue at around 2:15 a.m. July 24. When officers arrived the man refused medical attention, and no charges were filed.

Grand theft

A man told police that he and his friend went out for the evening, and his friend stole his car at around 1 a.m. July 25. Police are investigating.

Dangerous drugs

A man was arrested and charged with drug abuse following a traffic stop near the intersection of Clifton Boulevard and Virginia Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. July 26.

Full of hot air

A man took the air out of his ex-wife’s tires at her home in the 1400 block of French Avenue because she wouldn’t turn over their children for visitation on July 27. When officers arrived the man had already left. 

Burglary 

A home in the 1400 block of Orchard Grove Avenue was reported burglarized on July 28. The resident called police at around 2 a.m. to report the back door had been kicked in and “numerous items” had been stolen.

Copper pipes stolen

Coppers pipes were reported stolen from a home in the 1500 block Wyandotte Avenue at around 11 a.m. July 28.

Grand theft auto

A vehicle was reported stolen from the on Edgewater Drive at around 10:30 a.m. July 28.

Felony drug possession

A man was charged with felony drug possession following a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Edwards Avenue at around 10 p.m. July 28.
