Police Blotter: Man Escapes Capture in Foot Chase

The following information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Escape

A man bailed from a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Richland Avenue at around 1 a.m. Dec. 8. The man ran through backyards headed north on Wascana Avenue. Police were unable to catch the man.

A man was arrested and charged with petty theft at the on Detroit Avenue after stealing a hat and gloves at around 9 a.m. Dec. 8.

A woman in the 2100 block of Lewis Avenue told police that someone hung a wet pair of men’s underwear from her front door at around 10:20 a.m. Dec. 8. 

Dog bite

A dog bit a postal carrier in the 1400 block of Hopkins Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. Dec. 8.

Drunken driving on the railroad tracks

A woman called police from the railroad tracks on Summit Avenue telling officers that she was stuck on them at around 10:50 p.m. Dec. 8. When officers showed up moments later, they realized she was drunk. She was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated. 

Greasy situation

A 5-gallon drum of oil was thrown on the driveway of a home in the 2100 block of Alger Road at around noon Dec. 12. The resident that people responsible were former employees that he fired.
