Police Blotter: Identity Theft; Fighting; and a Case of Unsafe Trampoline Use
The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Two reports of identity theft
Two residents reported cases of identity theft Aug. 4. In the first report, a resident in the 18000 Clifton Boulevard had several credit cards accounts opened — that the resident did not authorize. In another incident, a man in the 12900 block of Lake Avenue told police that someone was trying to steal his identity.
Case of missing items

A man told police Aug. 3 that someone broke into his home in the Highland Manor Apartments at 11821 Detoit Apartment and stole flat-screen TV and Playstation while he was in jail. Turns out the items were taken into evidence by the detective bureau.

A man was warned about singing on the porch of his home, in the 2100 block of Chesterland Avenue, at around 2:20 a.m. Aug. 3. Officers warned the man to go inside and keep it down.
Theft
A woman in the 12000 block of Lake Avenue told police Aug. 3 that she let her friend take her ATM card to withdraw $20, and the friend emptied the account.
Missing pistol
A woman in the 12000 block of Clifton Boulevard told police Aug. 3 that a pistol was missing from her home.
Fighting
Two men were issued citations for disorderly conduct after fighting in the 2000 block of Lark Avenue at around 5 p.m. Aug. 3.
Unsafe playing
Police responded to a report of children jumping off of a house in the 2100 block of Clarence Avenue onto a trampoline, at around 2 p.m. Aug. 4. Police asked the children to move the trampoline to the backyard.
