Police Blotter: Gun Threat Disturbance, Trash Hurlers and Identity Theft

Disturbance involving gun threat
Police were called to Arthur Avenue at 10:48 p.m. July 4 when neighbors heard a man shouting at a woman saying he was going to shoot her. When officers arrived at the scene, they were unable to locate the man or the woman.
Men caught stealing donated clothing

Two men were seen rummaging through the clothing donation box on the CVS Pharmacy parking lot off Clifton Boulevard on July 5. When police pulled up at 9:59 p.m., donated clothing was scattered at the men’s feet. Officers put the apparel back in the bin and advised the men not to return.
Burglary

A St Charles Road resident called police at 4:57 p.m. July 6 when he realized that the third floor of his house had been burglarized. The man claimed several guns were stolen and was unsure when the theft occurred as he typically leaves his doors unlocked.
Trash hurlers
A Ridgewood Road resident called police at 11:15 p.m. July 7 after her young neighbors started throwing trash on her front porch. Officers advised the kids not to toss any more discarded items.
Identity theft
A former Lakewood resident who moved from the city years ago recently realized that people in Cleveland and Toledo had fraudulently listed utility bills and cell phone accounts under his name. He called police at 2:14 p.m. July 7 and the LPD referred him to his local police department.
