Police Blotter: Fire-Breather Causes a Stir, Raccoon in the Fireplace and a $2,000 Water Bill
The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Drunken driving
A man was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated at around 1 p.m. June 14 following a two-car traffic crash in the 14000 block of Madison Avenue. No one was reported injured.

After police responded to a call of a loud explosion and flames at at 8 p.m. June 15, officers learned there was a man in the park who was a professional fire-breather putting on a show for area children.
Raccoon in the fireplace

A resident in the 13400 block of Parkway Drive alerted police about a raccoon in the fireplace of his home at 10:30 p.m. June 15. The animal warden was called in for assistance.
That's a high water bill
A man in the 2000 block of Robin Avenue told police June 16 that he got a $2,000 bill from the water department, after water lines in his basement were damaged while he was away. It’s not known how the lines were damaged, but he reported the incident for insurance purposes.
Theft
Three juveniles were charged with petty theft just before noon June 14 after they were spotted stealing beer and ice from on W. 117th Street. Police caught up with the suspects — two boys and a girl — a short time later.
Complaint
A woman in the 16000 Delaware Avenue told police June 14 that she thinks her ex-husband is trying to convince her ex-boyfriend to harm her because they are talking on Facebook to each other. She told police she hasn’t received any threats, but was advised to call officers if she gets any.
Theft is bad for your health
A 52-year-old Cleveland man told police that while a patient at Lakewood Hospital, someone stole $200 from his wallet on June 15. The man didn’t want to file a police report, but he did file an incident report with the hospital, which will conduct its own investigation.
Traffic stop nets charges
Following a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Bunts Avenue at around 10 a.m. June 15, a woman was charged with driving with a suspended license, and her passenger was charged with drug possession.
