Police Blotter: Falling Bricks, Assault and Stolen Appliances

Today in police news.

Look out below. A man told police that a brick fell from the chimney of a home in the 1500 block of Alameda Avenue and crashed through his car window May 15. Police noted that there are bricks “blowing and breaking all over.” A message was left with the homeowner.

A woman ran up to a house in the 1400 block of Rockway and asked the homeowner for help at around 3 p.m. May 16. She was bleeding from the head and face. The woman said that her roommate beat her up. Three women were arrested and charged with assault.

A resident in the 12000 block of Clifton Avenue reported a stove and refrigerator had been stolen from the home May 16.

At least two lanes of W. 117th were closed at around 10 p.m. May 13 after a crash involving two cars. Lakewood police assisted the Cleveland police with directing traffic until the crash could be cleaned up.

A car was reported stolen from a driveway of a home in the 2000 block of Halstead Avenue May 17.
