Police Blotter: Coyote Seen Prowling Lakewood Streets

Also in this week's blotter: Bedbugs, an errant bullet and a candy bar that wasn't so sweet.

A resident in the 2100 block of Eldred Avenue told that a coyote was spotted near his home around 10 p.m. Feb. 23. Police caught up with the animal near the intersection of Hilliard and Woodward avenues, but noted that it was not being aggressive. 

Not-so-sweet candy bar

A woman told police Feb. 20 that someone is stalking her. In addition to harassing phone calls, the woman said that someone unknown to her stuffed a candy bar in her gas tank at a gas station in the 14000 block of Madison Avenue.

An itchy subject

Police responded to a home in the 1300 block of Thoreau Avenue on Feb. 21 following a call of a man and a woman fighting. Turns out they were arguing over bedbugs in their home.

Complaint

A resident of the Lakewood Club Apartments on South Lane Drive told police Feb. 22 that he found a bullet hole in the wall of his apartment. The path of the bullet appears to continue to the hallway, where there is another apparent bullet hole.

Overdose

A 22-year-old woman in the 1400 block of Mars Avenue overdosed on heroin around 6 p.m. Feb. 22. She was conscious when she taken to an area hospital.

Disturbance

A woman in the 14000 block of Hilliard Road told police that her 18-year-old son sprayed her in the face with Febreze around 4 p.m. Feb. 23. She kicked him out of the house, but did not want to file charges.
