Police Blotter: Cigarette Bandit; Domestic Violence; and a Brass-Knuckles Brawler

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Cigarette bandit

A man wearing dark clothing stole more than $200 in cigarettes from the on Detroit Avenue and ran across the street into Cleveland at around 9:30 p.m. Nov. 27.

Brass-knuckles brawler

Police were called to Bonnie and Clyde’s at around 1:15 a.m. Dec. 1 for a report of a man wearing safety glasses trying to “fight everybody” with brass knuckles. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Drunken driving, domestic violence

A man was arrested and charged with drunken driving and domestic violence after he tried to run a woman over with his vehicle in the 16900 block of Hilliard Road at around 2 a.m. Nov. 30. Instead, he ran over a stop sign. The woman was also charged with drunken driving.

Man arrested for drinking, littering

A man was arrested and charged with littering and drinking alcohol in public at at around 3 pm. Nov. 28.

House egged

A home in the 2100 block of Brown Road was vandalized with eggs at around 8:30 p.m. Nov. 28.

A cheesy gift?

A resident in the 1500 block of Mars Avenue told police that someone left a jar of baby food wrapped in cheese on her front porch at around 12:30 p.m. “She does not know who left them there or why,” according to the report. 

Burglary

A resident in the 2100 block of McKinley Avenue that the home had been burglarized at around 11:50 p.m. Nov. 30. Computers and other items were reported stolen.
