Police Blotter: Car Crash, Fight and Domestic Violence

Today in police news.

Police responded to a call at around 3 a.m. May 13 that a man was threatening “to kill people.” It turns out that the man, a resident of the  apartments on Bonnieview Avenue, was upset that some of his belongings were stolen from his apartment.

 A car crash in the 1300 block of Belle Avenue sent a 25-year-old woman to the hospital at around 7 p.m. May 13. She was trapped inside the car for some time after it struck another car. The woman was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

A man called police May 13 after a restaurant in the 14000 block of Detroit Avenue wouldn’t let him in because he had a dog. The man told police that he is a veteran of the armed forces and the animal was a service dog. The restaurant allowed the man to enter with his dog.

Two men and two women were getting ready to square off for a fight in the parking lot at on West 117th Street at around 2:30 a.m. May 15. Instead, police arrived. After the situation was diffused, one of the women was arrested and charged with dangerous drugs and disorderly conduct.

Talk about a messy breakup. A woman told police that her ex-boyfriend threw her cell phone on the roof of a building in the 14000 block of Madison Avenue at around 8 a.m. May 14. She said that the man then picked her up and put her in a trash can. She did not want to press charges.
