Police Blotter: Burglary; Dog Bite; and a Condiment Car

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary

A resident in the 1300 block of St. Charles said that she returned home from work at around 9 p.m. July 2 to find her home had been ransacked. Her laptop was reported missing. 

Woman charged with drunken driving

Police received a call about a motorist driving “erratically” in the 11900 block of Edgewater Drive at around 3:30 a.m. July 1. Police stopped the motorist and charged her with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Found: old steak knives

A man walking his dog in the 1500 block of Lewis Drive told police that there were two old steak knives in the middle of the street at around 8:15 a.m. July 1. He said one of the knives was covered in blood. However, when officers showed up and found the old steak knives, there wasn’t any blood on either blade.

Throwing rocks

Police received a report of five boys throwing rocks at cars near at around 5 p.m. July 1.

Drug abuse

A man was cited for drug abuse following a traffic stop in the 16400 block of Detroit Avenue at around 4:40 p.m. July 2.

Dog bite

A dog bite was reported in the 1600 block of Cohassett Avenue at around 2 p.m. June 27.

Stolen rental car

A rental car was reported in the 11800 block of Madison Avenue at around 2:45 p.m. June 27.

Condiment car

A resident in the 1300 block of Beach Avenue told police that someone dumped ketchup, mustard and beans on her vehicle at around 3 p.m. July 4. She said she would clean the car off herself.
