Police Blotter: Burglary; Assault on a Police Officer; and a Cat Food Complaint

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary

A man told police that when he came home, at around 3 a.m. Nov. 6, someone was inside his Madison Avenue apartment. The burglar was “trashing” the apartment.  As officer arrived moments later, the suspect jumped out the window.

Assault of a police officer

A man in the 1200 block of Brockley Avenue was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault of a police officers at around 1 a.m. Nov. 5.

A man inured his hand after he punched a window at a business in the 13300 block of Madison Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. Nov. 3.

Shoplifting trio

Three men were arrested and charged with shoplifting from at around 3:30 p.m. Nov. 3.

Litter bug

A woman was cited for littering near a Detroit Avenue apartment building at around 5 p.m. Nov. 3.

Holy moly

A man waiting for the bus at the intersection of Detroit and Westwood avenues was yelling that he was going to visit the Pope, noting the Jesus Christ had entered his body at around 8 p.m. Nov. 3. Police advised the man to keep to himself while waiting for the bus to arrive.

Drunken driving, drug charges

A woman was arrested and charged with drunken driving and felony drug abuse following a traffic stop near the Hillard Road exit ramp on Interstate 90 at around 1:40 a.m. Nov. 4.

Cat food complaint

A woman in the 1200 block of Hird Avenue told police Nov. 4 that someone has been throwing cat food in her front yard. She noted that the cat food has attracted “several” animals.
