Police Blotter: Breaking and Entering; Drunken Driving Crash; and Grocery Bandits

Toilets stolen, concrete poured down the drain

A burglary was reported in the 16700 block of Clifton Boulevard, when the caller told police Aug. 10 that the toilets in the home were stolen and concrete was poured down the drain.

Groceries thieves get away

Three shoplifters stole four bags of groceries from the store at around 3:30 p.m. Aug. 10. They were last seen heading south on Bunts Road.

Drunken driving crash

A man was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after he crashed into a tree and a parked car in the 2100 block of Lewis Drive at 11:55 p.m. Aug. 10.

Drug abuse

A cyclist was stopped at the intersection of Madison and Cohassett avenues at around 1 a.m. Aug. 11 for a traffic violation. She was arrested and charged with felony drug abuse. 

… Cast the first stone

A man was arrested and charged with criminal damaging after he threw a rock through the window of a home in the 2100 block of Bunts Road around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 11. Police caught up with the man at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Lewis Drive where he was taken into custody. 

Breaking and entering

An employee at a business in the 12500 block of Berea Road reported Aug. 11 that the glass windows at the business had been broken and the computers were stolen. 

Foul language, large knife

Police got a call at around 6 p.m. Aug. 11 that a man and a woman, inside a parked car in a handicap parking space, were swearing and brandishing a large knife at customers as they walked past. The vehicle was last spotted headed west on Detroit Avenue.
