Police Blotter: Boy Shoots Woman With BB Gun; Breaking and Entering; Drug Trafficking on a Bicycle

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Breaking and entering

Police got a call that a man broke out the window of the and stole a bicycle at around 1 a.m. July 11. The man took off southbound on Marlowe Avenue. Several police units searched the area, and finally found the man in the 2000 block of Richland Avenue an hour later. The man was charged with breaking and entering.

A man was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and providing false information to police following a traffic stop in the 11900 block of Newman Avenue at around 4:40 p.m. July 11.

Burglary

A resident in the 13900 block of Lake Avenue reported that the home had been burglarized sometime on July 12. 

Man too drunk to find his car drives away

A woman told police that she saw a man so intoxicated that he couldn’t find his vehicle at around 7 p.m. July 12. Eventually, when he found his car, in the parking lot at , he drove over the sidewalk and out onto W. 117th Street. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

Dangerous drugs

A woman was charged with dangerous drugs following a traffic stop near the intersection of Detroit and Arthur avenues around 9 p.m. July 12.

Drug trafficking

A man was charged with drug trafficking following a traffic stop on his bicycle near the intersection of Lark and Thrush streets at around 5 a.m. July 13.

Boy shoots woman with a BB gun

A juvenile boy was charged with assault and discharging a firearm after he shot a woman in the neck with a bb gun at at around 4 p.m. July 13.
