Police Blotter: An Unwelcome Houseguest; Robbery; and a Bar Fight

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Unwelcome houseguest

A resident in the 1600 block of Woodward Avenue called police about a man — that the resident did not know — asleep on the couch at around 7 a.m. Sept. 16. When arrived, the man said he thought he had passed out on a friend’s couch. The complainant didn’t want to press charges. 

Robbery

A woman was robbed — whom she reported to be a teenage boy — after she came to a stop in her car near the intersection of Delaware and Carabel avenues at around 11 a.m. Sept. 16.

A clean getaway

A washer and dryer were reported stolen from a basement in the 2000 block of Waterbury Road at around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 16.

Burglary

A woman the 1500 block of Lakeland Avenue that when she returned to her home at around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 16, a number of items were missing.

Bar fight

A large bar fight was reported at the at around 12:15 a.m. Sept. 17. By the time officers arrived minutes later, the man who caused the problems had already left.
