Police Blotter: Drunken Driving and Foot Chase, Indecent Exposure and a Sunken Kayak

Today in police news.

• A man was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, obstructing justice and drug paraphernalia after he crashed his car in the 1600 block of Victoria Avenue early in the morning of May 18. Police received a report that a man crashed into a car and got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, but police caught up with him soon after.

• A man and woman were both charged with open container after police received a report at 4 p.m. May 18 that they were at a bus stop in the 14000 block of Madison Avenue drinking beer and asking people for money. 

• A man in the 15000 block of Lake Avenue told police that someone left feces in front of his apartment May 18. He said he’s unsure if it was left there intentionally.

• Police received a report of a man who exposed himself to his neighbor in the 2100 block of Brown Road at around 7 a.m. May 19. He was not home when police showed up moments later.

• A man in the 800 block of Beach Road told police May 20 that he found a partially sunken kayak behind his home. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources was notified, but there are no identifying marks on the craft.
