No Death Penalty for Ariel Castro, Is 1,000 Years In Jail Enough?

The man accused of kidnapping three women and holding them against their will for a decade has pleaded guilty to avoid the death sentence.

In a deal that would spare three women the trauma of reliving 10 years of captivity, Ariel Castro has pleaded guilty. In exchange he'll be spared the death sentence and will spend the rest of his life in prison, according to our news partners at WEWS News Channel 5.

Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were kidnapped and held for 10 years in Castro's Seymore Avenue, Cleveland home, according to The Plain Dealer. They escaped May 6 with the help of a neighbor.

He agreed to a deal that would give him a sentence of life without parole plus 1,000 years in jail.

Castro's name is trending on Twitter in Cleveland.  And since it's in our back yard, we'd like to know what you think about the plea deal.
