New Lakewood Resident Gets a Disturbing Message

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Disturbing note

A resident in the Highland Manor Apartments told police Sept. 25 that someone left a note on his wife’s windshield with one haunting message: “I’m watching.” The man told police that the couple is new to Lakewood and is unsure if the note was a joke or something to be taken seriously. They were advised to contact police should there be any additional suspicious activity.

Tires slashed

A vehicle parked in the 2100 block of Lewis Drive had its tires slashed on Sept. 25.

Throwing apples at passing cars

Several children were spotted picking apples from a tree in the 2200 block of Carabel Avenue and throwing them at passing cards at around 3:30 p.m. Sept. 26. Police caught up with the youngsters, warned them and sent them on their way. 

Theft

A grill was reported stolen from a home in the 2100 block of Lincoln Avenue on Sept. 26.
