Woman Finds Strangers Drinking in the Basement

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Drinking in the basement... but it was the wrong basement

The resident of a home in the 2000 block of Lakeland Avenue told police that three men — whom she did not know — were drinking alcohol in the basement. She told police she would call back if they return.

Assault

Police responded to a report of a man and woman fighting in an apartment in the 2000 block of Quail Avenue at around 1 p.m. April 13. The man was arrested and charged with assault.

Shoplifting, drug charges

After she was caught shoplifting from the on Detroit Avenue at around, a woman was charged with theft and possession of a hypodermic needle at around 9:15 p.m. April 17. There was also a warrant for her arrest issued by the Parma Police Department.

Disorderly conduct

A resident in the 1500 block of Newman Avenue told police that a man came to her door and said he was shot at around 6:30 a.m. April 16. That’s when she called police. Officers found the man — who hadn’t really been shot — and charged him with disorderly conduct. 

Vehicles windows smashed

There were several reports of windows of vehicles smashed out in the morning of April 18. There were four reported in the 2000 block of Elbur Avenue; another one in the 2000 block of Lewis Drive, where a GPS device was stolen; and another reported in the 11800 block of Clifton Boulevard.
