Man Wounded in Chainsaw Incident

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.


Chainsaw accident

A man cut his leg with a chainsaw in the 18000 block of Sloane Avenue at around 9 a.m. June 14. The extent of the man’s injuries were not reported.

Setting papers on fire

A group of kids set some papers on fire at Grant Elementary School at about 10 p.m. June 14. The man who called police said he chased the kids away and they ran through the adjacent district’s administration parking lot.

Telephone harassment

A man reported at about 12:30 p.m. June 15 that he has been receiving harassing phone calls from an ex-girlfriend. Police said the girlfriend agreed to stop making calls. 

 

Credit card theft

A resident on the 16000 block of Lake Avenue reported that credt cards had been taken and used in another city on June 15. 

 

Robbery

A female was hit from behind and robbed on the 16000 block of Detroit Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. June 15. She suffered a head injury. 

 

Theft

A piece of art was stolen from an apartment on the 12000 block of Edgewater Drive at about 3 p.m. on June 16. 

 

Bicycle stolen

A bicycle was taken on the 13000 block of Madison Avenue at about 7 p.m. on June 16. 

 

Theft

A cellphone was stolen from two girls walking on the 13000 block of Franklin Boulevard at about 9:30 p.m. June 16. 

 

Robbery

A white Mongoose bicycle owner was robbed of his bike on the 12000 block of Madison Avenue at about 11 p.m. on June 16. The victim told police four males, including one who showed a gun in his waistband, took the bike.
