Man With Felony Warrant Refuses To Pull Over For Police

Man accused of obstructing official business, failing to comply after refusing to pull over for police

A Cleveland man faces charges of failure to comply and obstructing official business after he led Lakewood police on a short chase Tuesday evening.

An alert officer did a license plate check on the man's car while he was on McKinley Avenue. The plate went back to a Ford even though it was on a Nissan car.

The officer signalled for the man to stop, but he didn't. Instead he went onto Interstate 90, according to police.

Lakewood Police followed the man, at first, but ceased pursuit when the Nissan nearly ran into a FedEx truck.

Police located both the car and the man at his home on Althen Avenue in Cleveland later that evening.

The man, who also had a felony warrant out for him, was arrested.

Lakewood police investigating burglary

On Monday evening, a woman returned to her home at Park Shore Apartments on Edgewater Drive to find her television and other items were missing.

Thief raids unlocked garage

A thief (or thieves) sneaked into an unlocked garage Tuesday on Hazelwood Avenue and stole loose change, as well as a set of darts.

Residents are encouraged to leave their garages, homes and cars locked as a deterrent to thieves.
