Man Walks Into City Hall Dressed as Batman

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Mistaken for Gotham City?

Police received a report of a man donning a Batman costume walking into Lakewood City Hall at around 3:15 p.m. April 15. However, there was no threat — just a joker. The man told police that he “likes Batman and wore the costume to get some laughs.”

A man was charged with disorderly conduct and domestic violence after he struck his wife then locked her out of the house in the 1000 block of Kenneth Drive at around 11:50 p.m. April 12.

Two men were charged with disorderly conduct in the 15700 block of Detroit Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. April 14.

Attempted break-in

A woman in the 1400 block of Lakewood Avenue told police that someone was trying to break into her home at around 3 a.m. April 14. Officers were unable to locate a suspect.

Drunken driving

A man was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after his was “hitting cars” in the parking lot of a building in the 11800 block of Lake Avenue at around 4 a.m. April 14. The man was taken into custody and the truck was towed.

Disorderly conduct

Police received a report of a man “falling down” in the 11700 block of Detroit Avenue at around 4:45 a.m. April 15. He was charged with disorderly conduct and open container.
