Man Uses a Brick in Early-Morning Robbery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Robbery

A man was arrested and charged with robbery, after he used a brick to rob a resident walking near the intersection of Hird and Detroit avenues at around 5:30 a.m. July 15. There was no report of injuries to the pedestrian. Police caught up with the man at Sapell’s a short time later and arrested him.

A man told police that a man chased his 13-year-old stepdaughter and her friend down Lincoln Avenue at around 2 p.m. July 13.

Copper stolen

Copper piping was reported stolen from a vacant building in the 11800 block of Clifton Boulevard on July 13.

Drunken driving

A man was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated at the intersection of Ramona and Marlowe avenues after he crashed into another vehicle at around 11:30 p.m. July 13. 

Lost engagement ring

A woman told police July 15 that her daughter, visiting from Washington, lost her ring during the failed Fourth of July fireworks show at .
