Man Shows Up at Police Station With Handcuffs On
The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Handcuffed on Christmas
A man walked into the Lakewood Police Department with a handcuff attached to his wrist at around 9 p.m. Dec. 25. After learning that he wasn’t on the lam, officers helped the man get the cuffs off with bolt cutters. The report didn’t explain how the man got stuck in handcuffs.
Man arrested following argument

A man and woman were arguing outside of a building in the 12000 block of Edgewater Drive at around noon Dec. 24. Police found that the man had a warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody.
Threatening to shoplift?

A man walked into the CVS Pharmacy on Clifton Boulevard at around 6 p.m. Dec. 24 and told employees to call the police because he was going to steal something from the store. However, he didn’t steal anything. An EMS squad took him to “talk to someone.”
Shoplifting (for real)
A man was cited for shoplifting from the western Discount Drug Mart store at around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 24.
Sleeping in the car on Christmas Eve
Police found a man sleeping in his car in the 1600 block of Orchard Grove Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. Dec. 24. He chose to sleep there following a family argument.
Intoxication
A man was cited with intoxication after he refused to leave the Five O’Clock bar at around 2:30 a.m. Dec. 25.
