Man Punches Wife, Calls Police on Himself

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Domestic violence

A man in the 2100 block of Lewis Drive was charged with domestic violence and disorderly conduct at around 12:45 a.m. Feb. 4 after he called police and admitted that he punched his wife in the face. He requested that the police and EMS crews come to his home.

Copper pipes stolen

Police received a report that copper pipes were stripped from a basement of a vacant and bank-owned home in the 2100 block of Quail Avenue at around 11 a.m. Jan. 31.

Burglary

A resident in the 1400 block of Wyandotte Avenue reported Jan. 31 that the home had been burglarized within the past few days. A TV and a utility box were reported stolen.

Criminal damaging

A hallway in a building in the 16000 block of Detroit Avenue was reported vandalized with spray-paint at around 10 a.m. Feb 1. The rear of a building several blocks west in the 17000 block of Detroit Avenue was also reported spray-painted less than an hour later.

Sexual assault

Police received a report of sexual assault in the 2000 block of Magee Street at around 7 p.m. Feb. 1.

Hiding in the bushes

Police received a report of a man hiding in the bushes near Lake Shore Towers at around 3:15 a.m. Feb. 2. When officers arrived, they couldn't find the man.

Burglary

A laptop computer was reported stolen from an apartment in the 1300 block of Clarence Avenue at around 1 p.m. Feb. 2. 

Man lying on the ground, bleeding

Police and EMS squads responded to the 13700 block of Madison Avenue for a report of a man lying on the ground bleeding at around 4 a.m. Feb. 3. A man and a woman were each charged with disorderly conduct.
