Man Knocks on the Wrong Door for Heroin Deal

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Just say ‘no’ to drugs

A man knocked on the door of a home in the 1300 block of Beach Avenue and asked the resident if he wanted to buy some heroin at around 9 p.m. Dec. 28. The man told the would-be dealer that he had the wrong house, and the resident called police. Officers were unable to locate the suspected dope dealer.

Salt truck plows into parked vehicle

A city of Lakewood snowplow vehicle struck a parked car in the 2200 block of Northland Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 26. The extent of the damage was not reported.

Dog attack

A man was cited for dog-at-large after his animal bit the neighbor’s dog on the head in the 1500 block of Warren Road at around 11:45 p.m. Dec. 26. 

Grand theft

A woman reported her vehicle from her place of employment in the 12500 block of Berea Road at around 3 p.m. Dec. 27.

Mystery candy

A man in the 2000 block of Mars Avenue told police that someone left candy on his car in his garage sometime on Dec. 28. Nothing was reported stolen.

Man robbed at knifepoint

A man told police that three men robbed him near Edgewater Drive and W. 117th Street at around 9:45 p.m. Dec. 28. The men fled on foot into Cleveland. He gave police detailed descriptions of the men — noting that one of them had a knife — but police were unable to find them.
