Man Kills Roommate’s Dog, Charged With Animal Cruelty

Animal cruelty: A man was charged with animal cruelty after he killed his roommate’s dog and put it on the table at a home in the 1500 block of Wyandotte Avenue at around 10:45 p.m. Aug. 26.

Obstructing official business: Police received a report of a man standing in front of a home in the 1400 block of Lakewood Avenue — and refusing to leave — at around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 26. When police showed up, he bolted on foot. Officers caught up with him and charged him with obstructing official business and drug abuse. He also had a warrant out for his arrest.

Car window busted: Police received a report that a car window had been smashed out by a brick in the 11700 block of Nelson Court at around 4:45 a.m. Aug. 27.

Caught stealing bike racks: A man and woman were each charged with theft after they were caught stealing the bike racks from the Dairy Queen at around 7:30 a.m. Aug. 27. They returned the bike racks.
