Man Crashes Into Pole, Charged With Drunken Driving

Drunken driving crash: A man hit a parked car and a telephone pole at around 11:45 p.m. June 4. He was charged with operating a vehicle, hit-skip and failure to control.

Petty theft: A 15-year-old boy was caught stealing a bottle of liquor from the Walgreen’s at 11700 Detroit Avenue at around 1:30 a.m. June 1.

Suspicious call: Police received a report of two men chasing a woman running east on Madison Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. June 2. Police were unable to find any of them.

Drunken, passed out man: A man was charged with disorderly conduct after he was found drunk and passed out in a parking lot in the 16000 block of Detroit Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. June 2.

Man turns in Taser: A man in the 18600 block of Detroit Avenue told police June 2 that he wanted to turn in a Taser that he owned.

Grand theft: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 1500 block of Hopkins Avenue on June 2.

Breaking and entering: The copper pipes from two houses in the 1500 block of Alameda Avenue were reported stolen on June 3. Another incident was reported in the 2100 block of Bunts Road, two days later.

Burglary: An apartment in the 1600 block of Lakewood Avenue was broken into on June 4.

Car break-in: A man told police that someone broke into his car in the 1400 block of Cohassett Avenue and stole $200 on June 5.
