Man Charged With Robbing Subway
The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Robbery
The Subway restaurant — the location of an attempted robbery in July — was held up at gunpoint at around 3:15 p.m. Dec. 8. The man took off on foot carrying the cash tray, found later behind a trailer on Franklin Boulevard. A coat, hat and broken BB gun were found in on W. 116th Street. Police caught up with the man at around 4 p.m. and charged him with robbery.
Woman “passed out,” drunk behind the wheel

A woman was charged with drunken driving after she was found “passed out” with her car running in the 2300 block of McKinley Avenue at around 2:40 a.m. Dec. 7.
Items reported missing from Lakewood church

Guitars, microphones and speakers were reported “missing” from the LakewoodUnited Methodist Church on Detroit Avenue at around 9 a.m. Dec. 6.
Grand theft
A vehicle was reported stolen from Lakewood Hospital at around 6 p.m. Dec. 5.
Burglary
A woman in the 1300 block of Granger Avenue reported that the front window of the home was smashed out at around 6:15 p.m. Dec. 5. She told police that someone had been inside the home.
Copper pipes stolen
The copper pipes were reported stripped and stolen from a home in the 1200 block of Hathaway Avenue at around 2 p.m. Dec. 6.
Theft
The patio furniture was reported stolen from the Merry Arts Pub and Grille at around 4 a.m. Dec. 7.
Domestic violence
A man was charged with domestic violence after an incident involving a woman in the 11720 block of Lake Avenue at around 10:30 a.m. Dec. 7.
Man shoots himself in the hand
A man was taken to Lakewood Hospital after reporting that he shot himself in the hand in the 1300 bock of Brockley Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7.
Reports of dynamite
A resident in the 1000 block of Forest Cliff Drive reported that a neighbor is setting off “quarter sticks of dynamite” at around 9:15 p.m. Dec. 7. A resident in the 16500 block of Kenneth Lane made a similar report.
