Man arrested following burglary in progress

A man was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary after a resident in the 13000 block of Lake Avenue told police that there was a burglar in his house at around 8 a.m. Feb. 4. The burglar, carrying a large knife, took off on foot however police caught up with him near moments later.

A man in the 1200 block of Fry Avenue told police that his brother was choking him at around noon Feb. 2. Police told the man to call back if his brother returned to the residence.

Police arrested a man at who was strolling down the sidewalk along Belle Avenue drinking vodka at around 2 p .m. Feb. 2. The man was charged with disorderly conduct.

Drug charges

Three men were charged with felony drug trafficking following a traffic stop at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Hopkins Avenue at around 11 p.m. Feb. 2.

Drug seeker faces charges

A man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after he became upset that he didn’t get a narcotic he wanted in the emergency room at at around 3:45 a.m. Feb. 3.

Counterfeit $50 bill nets charge

A man was charged with criminal simulation after he tried to pass off a counterfeit $50 bill to an employee at at 11900 Detroit Avenue at around 11:30 a.m. Feb. 3.

Dog missing

A man in the 1400 block of Alameda Avenue reported his white Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix was missing at around 9 p.m. Feb. 3.

Cash register stolen

The cash register at was reported stolen at 11:40 a.m. Feb. 4.

More spray-paint

The building near the tennis courts at was vandalized with spray-paint on Feb. 6.
