Lakewood Woman Wanted for Leaving Scene of a Crime

Sadie Bunce is wanted for failure to report a death and failure to report a crime.

Lakewood police issued an arrest warrant for a Lakewood woman suspected of leaving the scene where a man died of a suspected heroin in an Edgewater Drive apartment on July 26.

Sadie Bunce, of Edgewater Drive, is wanted for failure to report a death and failure to report a crime, according to court records.

Both of the charges are fourth-degree misdemeanors.

Police issued the arrest warrant on July 29.

“Ms. Bunce was with a male who died as a result of a suspected drug overdose,” said Lakewood police Capt. Ed Hassing. “She is suspected of leaving the scene without making any notifications or calling for assistance for this male.”

According to the report, police received a call at around 3 a.m. July 26 that a man was “passed out” in the basement of the apartment building at 11720 Edgewater Drive. When squads arrived minutes later, the man was dead.
