Lakewood to Honor Fallen Firefighters

The event is slated to take place at the memorial in front of the Lakewood Fire Station No. 1 on Madison Avenue at noon Sunday.

Last year’s tribute to Lakewood’s fallen firefighters was — by all accounts — extraordinary.

The event was combined with the unveiling of the Fallen Firefighter Memorial, a tribute to the 343 killed on 9/11 and the the four Lakewood firefighters who have died in the line of duty.

This year, firefighters will be honored at the regular date for the annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony.
