Illegal Fireworks Draw 35 Police Complaints in Lakewood

There were no fewer than 35 reports of people setting off fireworks from July 3 through July 5 in Lakewood.

One resident on Clifton Boulevard told police that someone was still setting off fireworks at noon July 5. The pieces of spent fireworks were hitting the side of her home.

However most of the calls were related to the noise, according to police reports.

Police received six reports of fireworks on July 3; 19 on Independence Day; and 13 on July 5.
