Girl Reported Missing is Found in Lakewood

The 16-year-old Lakewood girl, who has been , has been found.

Turns out, Rebecca Williams was staying at a friend’s house in Lakewood.

“(She) is definitely OK,” said Lakewood police detective Scott Trommer, who had been investigating her disappearance.

He said Williams is now in the custody of the Cuyahoga County Department of Children and Family Services.  

It's not clear why she left home.

According to a missing poster, issued by the , Williams was last spotted in early February.

Posters began appearing in the following weeks on Lakewood telephone poles and in businesses during the past couple weeks.
