First (and Only) Suspected Murder in Lakewood of 2013

Details are still emerging in the case of the grisly discovery at Elbur Manor, however Johnny L. Johnson, of W. 117th Street, has been charged with murder.

Last week, a 56-year-old Cleveland man was charged with murdering a woman after her body was discovered decomposing in the closet of an apartment at Elbur Manor on Detroit Avenue.

It was the first — and only — alleged murder of 2013.

“This isn’t something that’s common in Lakewood,” said Lakewood police chief Timothy Malley.
