Early Morning Duck Hunting Disturbs Neighbors

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Quack, quack

Police received several complaints of duck hunters on Lake Erie — as well as complaints about the people in the lakefront apartments yelling at them to stop — at around 8 a.m. Jan. 5. The residents went back inside after they learned that the hunters were beyond the 300 feet from shore required for duck hunting.

Criminal damaging

A man was arrested and charged with criminal damaging at around 1:15 a.m. Jan. 4 after police received a report of a half-dozen men kicking in the siding and trying to break the window of the West End Tavern.

Two-car crash

No one was injured in a crash involving two vehicles near the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Bunts Road at around 5:20 p.m. Jan. 4.

Traffic stop nets drug trafficking charge

A man was charged with drug trafficking following a traffic stop in the 13700 block of Madison Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. Jan. 4. During the traffic stop officers found an undisclosed amount of marijuana.

Theft

A man in the 18600 block of Detroit Avenue told police that someone broke into his two storage lockers and stole “everything” at around 7:30 p.m. Jan. 5.
