Early Morning Crash Closes Bunts Road

Crash closes Bunts Road

Bunts Road, just north of Detroit Avenue, was closed following a one-crash at around 3:30 p.m. March 27. The vehicle ended up in the front lawn of a nearby assisted living home. No injuries were reported. Traffic was reopened at around 4:15 a.m.

Report of a seizure turns out to be just a drunk lady

Police responded to a call of a woman having a seizure in the 1300 block of Beach Avenue at around 3:30 a.m. March 26. Turns out, she was just drunk. The woman was charged with disorderly conduct.

Police received a call about a man who threw a chair at a bar in the 13700 block of Madison Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. March 26. Police caught up with the man about a block away, who denied there was a problem.

Burglary

A resident of an apartment in the 18000 block of Clifton Boulevard told police that someone broke into his home at stole a number of items including a computer, an MP3 player, a hat and a pillowcase at around 4:45 p.m. March 28.

Train nearly strikes man

A train slammed on its emergency brakes after it nearly struck a man walking on the CSX railroad tracks at Hird Avenue just before 7 p.m. March 28. Officers were unable to locate the man, who was reportedly wearing headphones at the time. 

Vehicle stolen from rental car business

A vehicle was reported stolen from the business at 11800 Madison Avenue at around 2 p.m. March 29.

Caught stealing beer on camera

A business in the 12500 block of Madison Avenue captured a man on camera stealing beer on March 28. When he came in the next day, employees asked him to pay for the beer he stole. The man refused. Police told the man to stay away from the store.
