Drunken driving
A man was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after he was stopped for driving at about 80 mph down Detroit Avenue at around 3:15 a.m. Jan. 13. Police stopped the vehicle near Bunts Road and the driver was charged with drunken driving, during without a license and he had a warrant for his arrest.
Disorderly conduct
A man was charged with disorderly conduct after he passed out in the isle of the CVS Pharmacy on Clifton Boulevard at around 2 a.m. Jan. 13.
Theft
A man was charged with petty theft after he stuffed “multiple items” in his jacket at the Walgreens on Detroit Avenue at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 13.
Man looking to buy marijuana
A man, recently released from jail, stopped by a home in the 1400 block of Rosewood Avenue looking to buy some pot at around 9:30 p.m. Jan. 13. The residents told the man they didn’t smoke the stuff. The man denied asking for marijuana, but admitted knocking on the door.
Report of animal cruelty
Two dogs were left unattended in a car for about 45 minutes outside the Waterbury Coach House at around 5:30 p.m. Jan. 14. However, officers learned that the dogs had food and water, and talked to the dogs’ owner.
