Car Break-Ins Reported on the East End

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Car break-ins reported

A laptop computer was reported stolen from a parked vehicle in the 1200 block of Donald Avenue at around 7:45 a.m. April 17. Another incident was reported in the 1300 block; a wallet, checkbook and football tickets were reported stolen. Later in the day, a man in the 13500 block of Merl Avenue told police that someone broke into his vehicle the night before and stolen a few items.

Man faces charges after bailing from traffic stop

A man bailed out of a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Giel Avenue at around 2 a.m. April 16. He fled on foot. Officers caught up with him in the 1200 block of Hathaway Avenue and charged him with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, obstructing official business and possession of a hypodermic needle.

Graffiti was reported on the south side of the Lakewood Board of Education office on Warren Road on April 16.

Drinking and dashing

Someone skipped out on his or her tab at Irish Kevin’s on April 15.

Shoplifting

A man was caught shoplifting from the Walgreens at around 5 a.m. April 17. He was charged with petty theft.

Copper pipes stolen

Copper piping was reported stolen from a home for sale in the 2100 block of Northland Avenue on April 17. There was another report of copper piping stolen from a home in the 12500 block of Clifton Boulevard at around 2:30 p.m. April 18.
