Boy Charged With Inducing Panic at Middle School

Inducing panic

A boy at was charged with inducing panic after he told a classmate that he was going to bring a gun to school March 6.

Police received a report of three males fighting at at around 5:50 p.m. Feb. 29. A woman told police that one of them pointed a gun at her. All three fled the scene. Police gave chase to one of the men on foot and caught up with him in the 2000 block of Dowd Avenue. He was charged with felony fleeing and eluded.

A resident of a home in the 2000 block of Arthur Avenue told police that the trees on the property were littered with toilet paper and the house had been “egged” on March 3.

Burglary

A resident in the 2100 block of Waterbury Avenue told police that someone broke into the home and stole a safe containing money and medication at around 10 a.m. March 4.

Weapons, drug charges

A boy, whose age was not reported, was arrested and charged with a weapons offense and drug paraphernalia charge in the 14700 block of Lake Avenue at around 7 p.m. March 4.
