Afternoon Robbery at Gunpoint Reported on Detroit Avenue
The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Robbery at gunpoint
A man told police that a man riding a bicycle near the on Detroit Avenue at around 5:30 p.m. Aug. 11 robbed him at gunpoint. However, the victim hung up before police could obtain additional information about the robbery, and officers could not find him when they responded to the scene.
Large fight reported

A large fight — between three men and three women — was reported near the on Detroit Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. Aug. 12. One of the men allegedly pulled out a knife during the altercation. However, officers found no one fighting when they arrived moments later.
Burglary

The resident of a home in the 1500 block of Mars Avenue told police that the house was broken into at around 9 p.m. Aug. 9. A TV was reported stolen.
Taking a nap on the sidewalk
A man who was passed out on the sidewalk near the intersection of Bunts Road and Detroit Avenue at around 2 a.m. was charged with disorderly conduct.
No pot, but there’s cooking
A resident in told police that one of the neighbors was smoking marijuana at around 5 p.m. Aug. 9. Turns out, the smell in question was just the neighbor cooking dinner.
Tires slashed
A resident in the 1400 block of Blossom Park Avenue reported that tires on a nearby-parked vehicle were slashed overnight on Aug. 12.
